Hipley Road - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Fibre Installation Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –
HIPLEY ROAD, BOARHUNT, WINCHESTER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under s.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Hipley Road between its junction with Bunns Lane and its junction with Forest Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fareham Road, Shoot Hill, Staple Cross Lane, B2177, Bridge Street, Back Lane, Denmead Road, Bunkers Hill, Forest Road
DURATION OF ORDER: from 9th March 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 days, working between the hours 08:00 – 18:00).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for CCN Communications to carry out cable, aerial and testing fibre works. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: enquiries@ccncommunications.co.uk
CCN Communications will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
