We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using East Hauxwell Village Roads, East Hauxwell for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 26/02/26 & 06/03/26, due to Yorkshire Water works to renew the water mains. However, the max duration of this Order is until 26/05/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Scugdale Road, Swainby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 09/03/26 & 20/03/26, due to works core drilling into existing BT network, excavate to install approximately 1000m of new duct, microduct & associated chambers. We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Shaw Terrace, Leyburn for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 10/03/26 & 23/03/26, due to Northern Powergrid works to install cable for new large connection. We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Emgate, Bedale for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 09/03/26 & 30/03/26, due to building works required that is immediately adjacent to the carriageway with closure required for highway safety. 30 Mph Speed Limit, B6271 & Parkgate Lane, Brompton on Swale, Order 2026

It is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified below:- Schedule - Roads In The Village Of Brompton On Swale, 30 Mph Speed Limit: B6271 Station Road / Richmond Road, from a point 23 metres east of the eastern side of the A1(M) overbridge (measured along the northern kerb line) westwards to a point 125 metres west of its junction with the centre line of Parkgate Lane (measured along the northern kerb line). Parkgate Lane, from its junction with the B6271 Richmond Road northwards for a distance of 80 metres (measured along the centre line of the road). A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Colburn community library, The Broadway, Colburn, Catterick Garrison, DL9 4RF during normal office hours from 20/02/26 until 13/03/26 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders.
