Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 02/03/2026 and will continue until the surfacing works have been completed or until the 01/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –  Gladstone Street  Ref: 26-293

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Gladstone Street, as lies between Cobden Street and a point approximately 40m south. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: 1) Cobden Avenue, Cromwell Road, Link Road. 2) Gladstone Street, Russell Street, Cromwell Road, Bright Street, Lincoln Road, Cobden Avenue, Cromwell Road, Hankey Street, Gladstone Street. The proposed order will come into force on the 02/03/2026 and will continue until the pole replacement works have been completed or until the 01/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 08:00 and 17:30 on the 02/03/2026. Vehicular access on to the course shall be prohibited at all the side roads joining the route whilst the route remains closed. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are via (1) Uffington Rd, Barnack Rd, A1175 Main Rd. (2) via Wittering Ford Rd, Heath Rd, Wittering Rd, Stamford Rd. The proposed Order will come into force on Sunday 1st March 2026 only from 07:30am to 11.30am and is at the request of DSTM Ltd for the purposes of the Burghley 7 Road Race 2026. The Council is satisfied that the length of road that is the subject of this Order is liable to be obstructed during the Burghley 7 Road Race 2026 Event between the above times only. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd, Helpston, Maxey Road, Maxey, High Street, Maxey Road, Northborough, A15, Helpston Road, Glinton, Helpston Road, Etton and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 07/03/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 06/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 23:00 on 07/03/2026 to 09:00 on 08/03/2026. The proposed Order will come into force on the 07/03/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 06/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd, High St and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 08/03/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 07/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Hampton Avenue, as lies between London Road and Kempley Court. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: London Road, Clayburn Road, Eagle Way and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 09/03/2026 and will continue until the new water connection works have been completed or until the 08/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 09/03/2026 and the 11/03/2026. The City of Peterborough, Park Farm Way to Green Wheel Cyclepath, Stanground, Road  Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions)   Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 26-312 2026 Ref: 26-312

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian/cyclist from proceeding along the road known as Park Farm Way to Green Wheel Cyclepath Stanground, rear of 5 Kenilworth Avenue and Kings Dyke Cyclepath. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for pedestrians/cyclists affected by this order is: signed locally on site. This notice is made in the interest of cut and patch works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 02/03/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform. The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian/cyclist from proceeding along the road known as Kings Dyke Cyclepath, Stanground, as lies between where footpath meets Park Farm Way and a point approx 50m north east. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians/cyclists should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for pedestrians/cyclists affected by this order is: signed locally on site. This notice is made in the interest of cut and patch works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 04/03/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
