What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Buckingham Ring Rd, Buckingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Buckingham Ring Rd for approx. 226M. Alternative route: A421, A43, A5, A421 and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water defect works commence on 31 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Eythrope Rd, Stone) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Eythrope Rd for approx. 39M. The closure is required whilst Thames Water new connection works commence on 23 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Nash Rd, Thornborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Nash Rd for approx. 203M. Alternative route: Nash Rd, High St, Bletchley Rd, Winslow Rd, Stratford Rd, Thornborough Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water service pipe repair works commence on 5 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Warmstone Ln, Waddesdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Warmstone Ln for approx. 40M. Alternative route: High St, Warmstone Layby and vice versa. The closure is required whilst T Mobile Hiab used to install poles and cabinets commence on 13 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Leighton Rd, Stoke Hammond) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Leighton Rd for approx. 49M. Alternative route: Leighton Rd, Partridge Hill, Ivy Ln, Stoke Ln, Pound Hill, Lower Way, Galley Ln, Fenny Stratford Bypass, Stoke Rd, Fenny Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water stoptap replacement works commence on 31 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration. (Stewkley Rd, Soulbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Stewkley Rd for approx. 44M. Alternative route: Stewkley Rd, Soulbury Rd, High St South, Wing Rd, Leighton Rd, Linslade Western Bypass, Stoke Hammond Bypass, Great Brickhill Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water stoptap replacement works commence on 30 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 30 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Watergate Farm Lane, Barton Hartshorn) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Watergate Farm Lane for approx. 94M. Alternative route: Stratton Audley Road, Mill Lane, Street Through Stratton Audley Park, Bicester Road, Buckingham Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst water mains works commence on 3 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 3 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Manor Farm Road, Barton Hartshorn) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Manor Farm Road for approx. 56M. Alternative route: Manor Farm Road, Barton Hartshorn Road, School End, Stratton Audley Road, Watergate Farm Lane, Street Heading East Towards Watergate, Buckingham Road, and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a meter exchange commences on 16 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Station Road, Marsh Gibbon) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Station Road for approx. 1398M. Alternative route: Church Street, Castle Street, Marsh Gibbon To Charndon Road, Charndon To Marsh Gibbon Road, Main Street, Steeple Claydon Road, Portway Road, The Square, Bicester Road, Twyford To Marsh Gibbon Road, Twyford Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst underground cabling works commence on 16 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Nash Road, Thornborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Nash Road for approx. 152M. Alternative route: Nash Road, The Green, High Street, Bletchley Road, Singleborough Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water works commence on 31 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 3/2, Parish of Wingrave) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of WIG/FP/3/1 & WIG/FP/3/2 and continues South East for approx.1075M to the county boundary. There is no alternative route. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to a failed bridge requiring replacement. The Order will come into operation on 25 February 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
