Worcestershire – Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Temporary Suspension of Traffic Orders for Utility and Highway Works

(U63200 Edith Walk, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) (and the Malvern Urban District (Edith Walk) (Prohibition of Waiting, Waiting Restriction and One-Way Traffic) Order 1965) (Temporary Suspension (part)) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of U63200 Edith Walk from its junction with A449 Belle Vue Terrace for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

Item 1 of Schedule 3 of the Malvern Urban District (Edith Walk) (Prohibition of Waiting, Waiting Restriction and One-Way Traffic) Order 1965 is hereby temporarily suspended to allow two-way traffic to enable access to residents and businesses for the duration of the Order.

Reason: Replacement manhole cover by Grub Construction.

No access for emergency services diversion route must be followed.

Alternative route: B4211 Church St, C2232 Graham Rd and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day (24hrs). Commencing: 17 March 2026.

(A449 Wells Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of A449 Wells Rd from its junction with A449 Belle Vue Terrace to its junction with B4211 Church St.

Reason: Drainage work for flood alleviation by WCC.

Alternative route: B4211 Church St, A449 Belle Vue Terrace and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days (24hrs). Commencing: 18 March 2026.

(C2260 Madresfield Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2260 Madresfield Rd from its junction with U63334 Sherrards Green Rd to its junction with U63338 Orford Way.

Reason: replace manhole cover by STW.

Alternative route: U63334 Sherrards Green Rd, B4208 Pickersleigh Rd, C2260 Madresfield Rd (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 15 March 2026.

(U63531 Belvoir Bank, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of U63531 Belvoir Bank from its junction with B4219 Cowleigh Rd for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction.

Reason: Remedial water works by STW.

Alternative route: B4219 Cowleigh Rd, B4232 North Malvern Rd, U63531 Belvoir Bank (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 16 March 2026.

(U64213 Weather Lane, Astley Burf) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of U64213 Weather Ln from its junction with B4196 Astley to its junction with Ln from Seedgreen Ln to Weather Ln (NSG ref 24411789).

Reason: Utility work by STW.

Alternative route: B4196 Astley, U64211 Astley, U64211 Astley Burf, U64212 Weather Ln and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 night (22:00-06:00). Commencing: 26 February 2026.

(U63110 St Andrews Road/U63110 Court Road/U63106 Thirlstane Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of:

Phase 1) U63110 St. Andrews Road from its junction with U63106 Thirlstane Rd to its junction with U63147 Fraser Cl.

Phase 2) U63110 Court Road from its junction with U63106 Thirlstane Rd to its junction with U63111 Woodshears Rd.

Phase 3) U63106 Thirlstane Road from its junction with U63110 St. Andrews Rd to its junction with Percy Walton Cl (NSG ref 24411145).

Reason: Development works by Stave-Con.

No access for emergency services. Must follow diversion route.

Alternative route:

Phase 1 Diversion – U63110 St. Andrews Rd (part), U63000 Peachfield Rd, B4208 Poolbrook Rd, B4211 Barnards Green Rd, U63110 Court Rd and vice versa.

Phase 3 Diversion – U63106 Thirlstane Rd (part), U63105 College Rd, U63103 Priory Rd, U63111 Woodshears Rd, U63110 Court Rd and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 95 days (24hrs). Phase 1: 25 February 2026 to 27 March 2026. Phase 2: 28 March 2026 to 23 April 2026. Phase 3: 26 May 2026 to 30 May 2026.

(U63203 Portland Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Portland Road and Broads Bank, Malvern) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1982 (Temporary Suspension (Part)) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of U63203 Portland Rd from its junction with B4211 Church St for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction and to temporarily (part) suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Portland Road and Broads Bank, Malvern) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1982 to allow two-way traffic on U63203 Portland Rd to enable access for residents and businesses for the duration of the Order.

Reason: Lay new ducting by Openreach.

Alternative route: B4211 Church St, C2232 Graham Rd, U63202 Broads Bank and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 25 February 2026.

(C2099 Hook Common, Hanley Castle) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of C2099 Hook Common from its junction with U61206 Hyde Ln for a distance of 295 metres in a westerly direction.

Reason: Safe working for telegraph pole testing by Openreach.

Alternative route: C2099 Hook Common (part), C2099 Hook Bank, U61416 Hook Bank, A4104 Welland Rd, A4104 Tunnel Hill, A4104 Old St, C2099 Mill Ln, C2099 Upper Hook Rd and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 23 February 2026.

Order made: To close that part of U60429 Ryall Rd from its junction with U60416 Ryall Meadow to its junction with U60421 The Beeches.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Order made: To close that part of U63318 Teme Ave from its junction with U63320 Windrush Cres to its junction with U63317 Hastings Rd.

Reason: Carriageway repairs by WCC.

Alternative route: U63318 Teme Ave (part), U63319 Wye Ave, U63317 Hastings Rd, and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days (24hrs). Commencing: 23 February 2026.

EXEMPTIONS: TO PERMIT ACCESS TO ANY LAND OR PREMISES FRONTING THE HIGHWAY AFFECTED WHERE THERE IS NO OTHER FORM OF ACCESS; AND TO ALLOW THE WORKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN.
