What is happening?

Order is necessary to facilitate new electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16/3 & 18/3/26.

Mingle Lane, Stapleford Temporary Prohibition
Of Through Traffic Order 2026-10476
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mingle Lane, Stapleford as lies between Nos 27 & 34. The alternative route for vehicles is via Mingle Ln; Mingle Ln, Great Shelford; Hinton Way; A1307; Haverhill Rd, Stapleford; Gog Magog Way & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/3 & 6/3/26.

Cheddars Lane, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition
Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10480
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cheddars Lane, Cambridge as lies between Nos.7 & 11. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tower crane removal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10/3 & 17/3/26.

Mill Way C201, Grantchester & Grantchester Road,
Trumpington Temporary Prohibition Of Through
Traffic & Temporary 30mph & 20mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-10624

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Way C201, Grantchester & Grantchester Road, Trumpington & to impose a 30mph & 20mph speed limit along Mill Way C201, Grantchester & Grantchester Road, Trumpington as lies between 80 Mill Way & Campbell Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Ln; A1134; A603; Grantchester Rd, Newnham; Grantchester Rd, Grantchester; Broadway; High St C201; Mill Wy C201 & vice versa. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sign, road marking installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/3 & 3/3/26.

Various Roads, South Temporary Prohibition
Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10486
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate footway slurry sealing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23/3/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 22/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the

Schedule.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate road markings, signage & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23/3/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 22/9/27 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
