Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has a) suspended, temporarily, the South Gloucestershire Council (Southern Brooks Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2012 in so far as it relates to the parking bays specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, the South Gloucestershire Council (Flaxpits Lane, Winterbourne) (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) Order 2001 in so far as it relates to the disabled persons parking places specified in Schedule 2 to this notice.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with fibre works. The order became operative from 2 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Tockington Lane which extends from a point 1385m south west of Fernhill south westwards for 115m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with overhead structure works.
The order became operative from 3 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Public Footpath LBA/2 which extends from Badminton Road/Well Lane to High Street.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon course and event stand construction and deconstruction works.
The order became operative from 2 March 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 11 weeks duration.
Alternative route: Follow signed diversion.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the entire length of Hopps Road.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon crane delivering modular extension to a property on or adjacent to the highway.
The order became operative from 3 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 10am and 3pm.

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works.
The order became operative from 5 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Coxgrove Hill which extends from Henfield Road to Coxgrove Lane.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with providing a safe working area for engineers to carry out fibre overhead cabling works.
The order became operative from 6 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Greenditch Street which extends from a point 450m north east of Holm Lane north eastwards for 30m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with fire hydrant frame and cover replacement works and to check hydrant operational. The order became operative from 6 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 8am and 6pm.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with blockage clearance works. The order will be operative from 18 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with accessing joint box for cabling work.
The order will be operative from 23 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Weir Lane which extends from its northernmost junction with Sheepfair Lane south eastwards for 90m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway.

Construction of Road Humps – Fiddlers Wood Lane, Bradley Stoke
Details of the proposed changes
NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C(1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct a road hump in the form of a speed table centred at a point approximately 11.8 metres east of its junction with Savages Wood Roundabout. A new parallel crossing will be centred on the speed table. The road humps will extend over the full width of the carriageway and be 14.5 metres in length (not including the ramps) and 75 millimetres in maximum height, subject to the tolerances permitted in the Regulations. (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that on 18 February 2026 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle entering, proceeding or waiting in the length of the northern spur of Ruffet Road that extends from its junction with A432 Badminton Road to its junction with Ruffet Road (southern spur) for a distance of approximately 60m. Exemptions are contained in the order for vehicles to be used for building, industrial or demolition operations; the removal of any obstruction to traffic; the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or in land adjacent to the road of any sewer, or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or any telecommunication apparatus; in the service of a local authority, for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes in exercise of official duties. A further exemption is included for cyclists and electric scooters. The order will come into operation on 2 March 2026 and a copy thereof together with a map and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Yate One Stop Shop (next to the Leisure Centre), Kennedy Way, Yate during normal opening hours.
