Cambridgeshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Middle Street, Thriplow Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10330
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Street, Thriplow as lies between Nos.14 & 28. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church St; School Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main renewal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16/3 & 22/3/26.
Chrishall Road C261, Fowlmere Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10331
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chrishall Road C261, Fowlmere as lies between Pipers Close & A505. The alternative route for vehicles is via A505; A1368; Pipers Cl & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main relaying & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/3 & 15/3/26.
Shepreth Road, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10444
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Shepreth Road, Shepreth as lies between Shepreth footpath 10 & A10. The alternative route for vehicles is via A10; Station Rd; High St; Rectory Ln; Shepreth Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate junction improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/3 & 25/9/27.
Barrons Green, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10445
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barrons Green, Shepreth as lies between No. 27 & Fowlmere Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate junction improvements & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/3 & 25/9/26.
Angle Lane, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10446
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Angle Lane, Shepreth as lies between No.3 & Fowlmere Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate junction improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 05:30hrs 17/3 to 25/9/26.
Meldreth Road, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & High Street, Shepreth Temporary One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2026-10450
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Meldreth Road, Shepreth as lies between Dowcra(s) Manor & Station Road. During the period this Order remains in force two way traffic flow on the East section of the Memorial traffic island is hereby suspended insofar as it affects High Street, Shepreth as lies between its junctions with Meldreth Road & High Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Meldreth Rd; North End, Meldreth; High St; Whitecroft Rd C269; Station Rd; A10; Fowlmere Rd, Shepreth & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate junction improvements & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/3 & 25/9/26.
Fowlmere Road, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10474
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fowlmere Road, Shepreth as lies between A10 & Meldreth Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A10; Frog End; High St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate junction improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/3 & 25/9/26.
South Street, Meeting Lane & Bassingbourn Road, Litlington Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2026-10477
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along South Street, Meeting Lane & Bassingbourn Road, Litlington as lies between Meeting Lane & Malting Lane; Home Farm & Abbotts Close & South Barn & New Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Bassingbourn Rd, Litlington; A1198; A505; B656; A505; Royston Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3/3 & 5/3/26.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
