Old Manor Park, Atherton – Temporary Closure

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Old Manor Park, Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 19th March 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Old Manor Park, Atherton on 19th March 2026 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.00pm.
Access will be maintained for residents where possible.
The Order is necessary to allow cabling and tree cutting.
Shuttle Street and Elliott Street, Tyldesley – Various Traffic Regulation Orders

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.17) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 5th June 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (South side) from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (North side) from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street North
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (both sides) from a point 6 metres east of its junction with Primrose Street North to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Milk Street
The effect of the Order will be to revoke restriction of waiting, on Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm, on:
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (south) from a point a 10 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (north) from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street North
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (both sides) from a point 6 metres east of its junction with Primrose Street North to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Milk Street

The effect of the Order will be to revoke the loading bay, Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm on:
• Elliott Street, Tyldesley (north side) from a point 4 metres east of its junction with Milk Street to a point 22 metres east of its junction with Milk Street
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a loading bay, Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm, on:
• Elliott Street, Tyldesley (north side) from a point 14 metres east of its junction with Milk Street to for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004, or
(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 12th February 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
Primrose Street North, Tyldesley – One Way Working

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Primrose Street North, Tyldesley) (One Way Working) Order 2026, which will come into operation on 5th June 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce One Way Working on:
• Primrose Street North, Tyldesley, from its junction with Shuttle Street to its junction with Ellesmere Street in a northbound direction

Wigan Borough Public Footpath (Tyldesley No. 96, 97, 100, 102, 105 (Part), 106 & 133) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Public Footpath (Tyldesley No. 96, 97, 100, 102, 105 (Part), 106 & 133) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 13th February 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable from using:
• Public footpath Tyldesley No. 96 from its junction with Mort Lane from Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371054 402152 in a generally easterly direction to its junction with public footpaths Tyldesley No. 97 & 100 at Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371589 402063 for a distance of approximately 546 metres.
• Public footpath Tyldesley No. 97 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 96 & 100 at Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371589 402063 in a southerly direction to public bridleway Tyldesley No. 98 & 99 at Point C as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371602 402023 for a distance of approximately 45 Metres.
• Public footpath Tyldesley No. 100 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 96 & 97 at Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371589 402063 in an easterly direction to public bridleway Tyldesley No. 102 & 106 at Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371716 402060 for a distance of approximately 137 Metres.
• Public bridleway Tyldesley No. 102 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 100 & 106 at Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371716 402060 in a southerly direction to public bridleway Tyldesley No. 99 & public footpath No. 101 at Point E as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371696 401977 for a distance of approximately 94 Metres.
• Public bridleway Tyldesley No. 106 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 100 & 102 at Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371716 402060 in a northerly direction to public bridleway Tyldesley No. 107 & 108 at Point F as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371732 402121 for a distance of approximately 65 Metres.
• Public footpath Tyldesley No. 105 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 101 & 133 at Point G as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371705 401917 in an easterly direction to Hindsford Brook at Point H as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371924 401894 for a distance of approximately 230 Metres.
• Public footpath Tyldesley No. 133 from its junction with Tyldesley No. 101 & 105 at Point G as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371705 401917 in a southerly direction to public footpath Tyldesley No. 103 & 134 at Point I as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 371720 401861 for a distance of approximately 60 Metres.
An alternative route is available via the road network and public rights of way; Mort Lane, Sale Lane, public bridleway along the Leigh Guided Busway and City Road, as shown on the Order Map.
These public rights of way will be closed for a period of six months commencing on 13th February 2026 to enable development and road construction.
