Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Braiswick, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 250m north west of its junction with Bakers Lane for a distance of approximately 155m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd March 2026 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP40069979058 – RJM Elite Building Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing night works are undertaken by RJM Elite Building Ltd.
An alternative route is available via B1508, A131, A134, B1508 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Burnt Dick Hill, Boxted/Park Road, Great Horkesley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Burnt Dick Hill, Boxted/Park Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from the junction of Church Hill to the junction of Horkesley Hill a distance of approximately 2535m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2396864-EH2396866 & EP201EH2396865 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A134, Boxted Church Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Holliwell Close, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holliwell Close, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 35m south east of its junction with New Farm Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310798998 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close (directional northbound lane only) in that length of Ipswich Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Cowdray Avenue for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th March 2026 – (22:00-03:00) for 1 night, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03767101028 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while man hole cover works works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Ipswich Road Roadabout, Cowdray Avenue, A133, Colne Bank Avenue Roundabout, A133, A1124, Tollgate Roundaboutm Essex Yeomanry Way Roundabout, A1124, Eight Ash Green Interchange, A12 Junction A1124, A12 from Junction A1124 to Braiswick Bridge, A1232.
The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(John Street, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of John Street, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Margaret Close a distance of approximately 55m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110312264 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while service pipe location and boundary box installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via John Street, Edward Avenue, Richard Avenue, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Thorpe Road, Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Thorpe Road, Tendring in the District of Tendring, from a point 400m east of its junction with Crow Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (CO008PLT3161594830032025 – Openreach). (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:

To temporarily close that length of Wivenhoe Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bromley Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction.

To temporarily close that length of Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 35m north east of its junction with Spring Valley Lane for a distance of approximately 260m in a north easterly direction.

To temporarily close that length of Jubilee Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bromley Road for a distance of approximately 80m in a north westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 19th March 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGGJK71CSB, BC008WGGJK71C11SB & BC008WGGJK71C12SB – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
To temporarily close that length of Dickenson Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Hakewill Way to its junction with Shepherd Drive a distance of approximately 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2396771A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and cycleway defect works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Hakewill Way, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hakewill Way, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Dickenson Road to its junction with Wallace Road a distance of approximately 425m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th March 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2394642A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to replace signs and bollards are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Hall Road, Mount Bures) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Road, Mount Bures in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Old Barn Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2026 for 1 night – (00:45-04:45), or where stated on a valid permit (KL735SUD-52-61-040326 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harwich Road, Beaumont in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Chapel Road for a distance of approximately 325m in a south easterly direction. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stones Green Road, Tendring in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 1100m west, south west then north west of its junction with Heath Hospital Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.
