(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.35) Order 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

1. To Revoke: ‘Disabled Badge Holders Only’ restrictions:

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 26 February 2026.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Boars Tye Road, Silver End) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boars Tye Road, Silver End in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 80m north west of its junction with Tait Avenue for a distance of approximately 260m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZYO44ESN036366–2 – E S Pipelines Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main installation works are undertaken by E S Pipelines Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Boars Tye Road, Temple Lane, Church Road, The Street, Lanham Green Road, Lanham Green, Boars Tye Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hedingham Road/Hudsons Hill, Wethersfield) (Temporary Introduction of a 30mph Speed Restriction) & (Temporary Introduction of a 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction Hudsons Hill, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with Gray’s Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction.

  2. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction Hedingham Road, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m south west of its junction Blackmore End for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction.

  3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction Hedingham Road/Hudsons Hill, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 130m south west then north west of the junction of Blackmore End for a distance of approximately 445m in a north westerly then south westerly direction.

The speed restrictions are scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA005GS-1226-HR – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The speed restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while defect repair works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Spring Lane, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Spring Lane, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 370m south west then south east of its junction with Hatfield Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30071561715 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via B1019, A12, B1389, Gershwin Boulevard, Maltings Lane, B1018 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Worlds End, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Worlds End, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 895m south west then south east then south of its junction with Mowden Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02233185372 – Connect Highways Traffic Management Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while renewal of road marking works are undertaken by Connect Highways Traffic Management Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Worlds End, North Hill, The Ridge, Little Baddow Road, A414, B1018, B1019, B1137, Mowden Hall Lane, Worlds End and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Oak Road, Rivenhall End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oak Road, Rivenhall End in the District of Braintree, from its junction with A12 to its junction with Henry Dixon Road a distance of approximately 245m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th March 2026 for 1 night (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2392900 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A12, B1024, London Road, Henry Dixon Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
