What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
HILSTON GROVE (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Hilston Grove, at the junction with Preston Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during junction surfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 10th March 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 10th March 2026 until 23rd March 2026.

WAWNE ROAD/HOLWELL ROAD/BUDE ROAD ROUNDABOUT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Wawne Road, Holwell Road and Bude Road Roundabout, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during roundabout improvement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will come into effect 2nd March 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between:- Wawne Road, from 2nd March 2026 until 26th August 2026; Holwell Road, from 26th August 2026 until 28th September 2026; and Wawne Road, from 28th September 2026 until 3rd November 2026.

SWALLOWFIELD DRIVE (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Swallowfield Drive, between numbers 17 to 24, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during new electrical connection works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 16th March 2026, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 5pm commencing 16th March 2026 until 26th March 2026.
