Nork Way (D1004) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Nork Way (D1004) Banstead as extends from its junction with (X26009) Nork Gardens to its junction with (D1002) Warren Road. Alternative Route: Nork Way, Green Curve, Hillside, Buckles Way, Beacon Way, and Nork Way, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no other vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Stoneleigh Road (D474) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stoneleigh Road (D474) Limpsfield as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.34 and No.36 Stoneleigh Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.65 and No.67 Stoneleigh Road. Alternative Route: (1) Stoneleigh Road, Moorhouse Road, Tally Road, Ridlands Rise, and Stoneleigh Road; (2) Stoneleigh Road, Moorhouse Road, Ridlands Lane, Ridlands Rise, and Stoneleigh Road. This Order is required to facilitate new gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Beaufort Road (D1203) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 13 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding or waiting in that length of Beaufort Road (D1203) Reigate as extends from its junction with Nutley Lane (D1204) to the access for Beaufort Mews.

Alternative route – Nutley Lane, South Albert Road, Evesham Road and Beauford Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water and UKPN to facilitate sewer repairs, service cable installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 March 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and waiting restriction, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Ferriers Way (D1029) Epsom Downs Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 13 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ferriers Way (D1029) Epsom Downs as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “3 Ferriers Way” to the eastern boundary of the property known as “5 Ferriers Way”.

Alternative route – Longwalk and Coxdean, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Ad Bly Construction to facilitate drainage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 March 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for to properties within the closure will be via road plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 13 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley as extends from its junction with Station Parade (D647) to its junction with Kingston Avenue (D615).

Alternative route – B2039 (Ockham Road South), A246 (Guildford Road and Epsom Road), A247 (The Street and Clandon Road), B2215 (Portsmouth Road, High Street and Portsmouth Road) and B2039 (Ockham Road North), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 March 2026 for 6 weeks.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Kingston Road (A245) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 13 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingston Road (A245) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with Woodvill Road (X15228) to its junction with Kingston Avenue (D2599).

Alternative route – A245 (Kingston Road and By-Pass Road), A243 (By-Pass Road), B2122 (Epsom Road and Leret Way) and A245 (either clockwise: Station Road, Station Approach Road and Randalls Road or anti-clockwise: Bull Hill), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage improvements, footway widening, installation of a road table, resurfacing, new road markings and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained either side of the works site. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Meath Green Lane (D334) and Greenfields Road (D572) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 13 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- (a) that length of Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley as extends from its junction with Parkhurst Road (D337) to its junction with Greenfields Road (D572); and (b) the entire length of Greenfields Road (D572) Horley.

Alternative route – (a) Greenfields Road, Kingsley Road, Wellington Way, Horley Row and Meath Green Lane, or this route in reverse.

(b) Meath Green Lane, Horley Row, Wellington Way and Kingsley Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate the installation of road tables and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible in two phases during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 March 2026 between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

D1402 Burntwood Lane, Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1402 Burntwood Lane, Caterham that extends from its junction with “Wapses Lodge Roundabout”, to its junction with C227 Whyteleafe Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable WHP Telecoms and/or BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works between No.40 and No.44 Burntwood Lane. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 stages, between the hours of 9:30am and 2:30pm within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via a temporary walkway. Access emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times, during working hours such access will be under direction of Traffic Management Operatives.

Alternative route:- Whyteleafe Road, Whyteleafe Hill, Godstone Road and Burntwood Lane.

D1081 Stagbury Avenue, Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 18 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1081 Stagbury Avenue, Chipstead that extends from the north-western property boundary of “Beechcroft, 21 Stagbury Avenue”, to its junction with C137 Hazelwood Lane. This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out electrical installations and/or connections and/or cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of a short walkway around the works area. It will not be possible to maintain any vehicular access through the works area however no sole access to property will be affected. Access for affected residences and businesses will be maintained at all times under direction of Traffic Management, including access for emergency services to such property, via the alternative route:- Hazelwood Lane, Outwood Lane and Stagbury Avenue.

Park Lane East (D1224) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Lane East (D1224) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1298) Sandcross Lane to its junction with (D1224) Park House Drive. Alternative Route: Park Lane East, Eastnor Road, North Road, and Sandcross Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Horsham Road (C48) Walliswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (C48) Walliswood as extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “Hollyoak Cottage” to the western boundary of the property known as “September Cottage”. Alternative route – Horsham Road, Horsham Lane, Somersbury Lane, B2128 (Horsham Road), Furzen Lane and Horsham Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable M Group Telecoms to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 March 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services to properties within the site, as well as for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with Lower Road (D265) and the access for the property known as “Church View”.

Alternative route – High Street and A246 (Leatherhead Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Network Power Connections to facilitate low voltage cable connection to supply new EV chargers at The Old Crown and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 March 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Asylum Road to Three Arch Road (T9106) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit the use of the Townpath from Asylum Road to Three Arch Road (T9106) Redhill.

Alternative route – T9087 Townpath Asylum Arch Road to Railway Bridge, T9086 Townpath Earlsbrook Road to Asylum Arch Road, Earlsbrook Road, St Johns Road, Woodlands Road, A23 (Horley Road) and Three Arch Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate resurfacing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 March 2026, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

D2530 Dorking Road, Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D2530 Dorking Road, Bookham (between Lower Shott and Polesden Road). This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site. Alternative Route – D2530 Chapel Lane, D271 Ranmore Common Road, C44 Ranmore common Road, C42 Critten Lane, C43 Beech Avenue, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Leatherhead Road and D2511 Leatherhead Road.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)&(2) Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a bridge in disrepair.

The order came into operation on 30 May 2024. It was due to expire on 31 July 2024 but was continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 28 February 2025. It was then extended until 28 February 2026 and has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for the third time until 28 February 2027 or until the completion of the works, if earlier.

The order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 337 (Charlwood) which extends for 820 metres in an easterly and then southeasterly direction from its junction with Norwoodhill Road (Grid ref: 524687 142906) to its junction with Public Footpath 339 (Charlwood). The prohibition described above will only be operative while the county council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no recommended alternative route.
