(WATKINSON WAY, WIDNES)
(Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Halton Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order under Section 14(1) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Road(s) affected: Watkinson Way (slip off to Derby Road), Widnes
Reason for making the Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on the road should be prohibited and/or restricted because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the road.
Alternative Routes: suitably signed alternative route(s) will be provided.
Date Order to come into effect: 9 March 2026
Maximum duration of the Order: 18 months from the date the order comes into effect.
Note: The closure is for the provision of laving surface anti skid to failed areas. The actual closure is expected to be over 5 days between the hours 20:00 to 05:00 daily. For further information contact 07484 009640.
