Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th February 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Wilkes Walk Truro Section Restricted. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to storm damage to building roof.

The Order will come into operation on 18th February 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 28th February 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 28th January 2026 for a period of 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

The County of Cornwall (New Road, Portscatho) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Portscatho. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 16th March 2026 to 20th March 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - New Road, Portscatho between the junction ofTreventon Road and grid reference SW87617 35389.

Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties.

The County of Cornwall (West End, Penryn) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length ofroad in Penryn. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 19th March 2026 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1630, weekdays only.

Road affected -West End, Penryn between the property named Westhill and property number 93.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 16th February 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being South West Coast Path, St Anthony-in-Meneage between grid references SW76323 26208 and SW78587 25661. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to unsafe trees following storms.

The Order will come into operation on 17th February 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 16th August 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 27th January 2026 for a period of up to 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Erme. This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected thatthe closure will be from 16th March 2026 to 3rd April 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Road affected - Road From Eglos Road To St Erme, St Erme for its entire length.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 11th February 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being West End Penryn between grid references SW77990 34793 and SW77932 34830. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a dangerous tree and structural works.

The Order will come into operation on 12th February 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 18th February 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 22nd January 2026 for a period of 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
