Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BODHAM – C528 The Street from 150m southeast of its junction with Hart Lane for 40m south-eastwards to facilitate erection of scaffolding from 23rd February to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 24th April 2026). Alternative route is via: C528 The Street/Church Road/Beckham Palace Road, C308 Mill Road, C63 Red Barn Lane, C623 Gibbet Lane, A148 Holt Road/Cromer Road (East Beckham, Gresham, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – C874 Plumstead Road for 20m each side of railway level crossing to facilitate rail crossing inspection works between 22:00 on 22nd February 2026 and 06:00 on 23rd February 2026 (may continue until 6th April 2026). GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD & BLOFIELD – U59282 School Road/All Road from 150m west of its junction with Woodbastwick Road westwards to 30m west of its junction with Witton Lane to facilitate installation of new fibre network for BDUK works from 23rd February 2026 to 14th March 2026 (may continue until 25th April 2026). LITTLE SNORING – Kettlestone Road from its junction with The Warren for 66m north-westwards to facilitate installation of electrical cable works from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 17th April 2026). NEATISHEAD – U19076 King Street from its junction with U19071 School Road to its junction with U19682 Water Lane to facilitate installation of new duct with cables and chamber to facilitate cabling works for the network infrastructure from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 17th April 2026). SHERINGHAM – Beeston Road from its junction with Robertson Close for 76m northwards to facilitate a railway bridge inspection between 21:00 and 06:00 from 23rd to 24th February 2026 (may continue until 7th April 2026). SWANNINGTON WITH ALDERFORD AND LITTLE WITCHINGHAM – C270 Hall Road from its junction with Reepham Road for 90m westwards to facilitate removal of a bellmouth entrance in an adjacent field from 23rd February 2026 to 1st March 2026 (may continue until 12th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Alderford Common, Fir Covert Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A1067 Fakenham Road/Norwich Road, Porters Lane, Hall Road (Alderford, Felthorpe, Morton on the Hill, Weston Longville, Taverham, Swannington, Attlebridge, Great Witchingham). ANDREW – A1042 Pound Lane/Ring Road Slip Road (northbound lane only) from 5m north of its junction with A1242 Yarmouth Road roundabout for 160m northwards to facilitate cycle and installation, lining and signing works from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 17th April 2026). WITTON AND RIDLINGTON (NORTH WALSHAM) – U19178 Thatched Cottage Road from its junction with C419 Beaton Road for 200m north-westwards to facilitate removal of entrance and reinstatement of original condition works from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 17th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Bacton Road, North Walsham Road, Old Hall Road. The works promoter is Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd.

WOOD DALLING – C228 Guestwick Road from 150m west of its junction with Tyby Lane (outside Tyby Farm) for 40m southwards to facilitate scaffolding works from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 17th April 2026). GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Middleton Road (northbound only) from its junction with the B1370 Roundabout to its junction with the A47 Roundabout (“Road A”) and various side roads off Middleton Road as follows: 1) Pound Lane, Connaught Avenue, Gloucester Avenue, Peter House Avenue, St Catherines Way and Western Road (the “Side Roads”); and; 2) Pound Lane, Connaught Avenue, Gloucester Avenue, Peterhouse Avenue, St Catherine’s Way and Western Road (the “Left Turn Restriction Roads”) and; 3) Middleton Gardens, Stradbroke Road, Suffield Road, Albermarle Road, Elm Avenue, Elm Grove Road and Poplar Avenue (the “Right Turn Restriction Roads”). The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and each of the Side Roads will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) from the side roads junction with Middleton Road for 20 metres westwards, the Left Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no left turn restriction from any of the listed Left Turn Restriction Roads into Road A and the Right Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no right turn restriction from any of the listed Right Turn Restriction Roads onto Middleton Road to facilitate cycle lane construction works. The restrictions will be in place from 18th February to 31st March 2026 (may continue until 30th September 2026). Nothing in this Order, will prevent construction traffic relating to these works from turning right from Elm Avenue onto Middleton Road.
