Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, trwy arfer ei 
bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig 
Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a phob pŵer galluogi arall, 
yn bwriadu, mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, 
wneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn gwahardd
i) unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio neu fynd ar hyd y darnau o ffordd a bennir yn yr Atodlen isod a 
ii) unrhyw farchogion rhag marchogaeth neu arwain unrhyw geffyl ar hyd y darnau o ffordd a bennir yn yr Atodlen isod.

Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn yn ofynnol i atal y tebygolrwydd o 
berygl i’r cyhoedd a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol ar y 
dyddiad a’r amseroedd a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod. 
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/ 
neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. 
Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSALTHE COUNTY 
COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF 
(BIG DAY OUT RUGBY MATCHES, CARDIFF) 
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2026 

The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of which is to prohibit
i) any vehicle from using or proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below and
ii) any equestrians from riding or leading any horse along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below. 

The Order is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public and is expected to be in operation on the date and during the times specified in the below Schedule. The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months. 

The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (Big Day Out Rugby Matches, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2026”. 

Schedule 
Between the hours of 7.00am and 8.00pm on Saturday 28th March 2026 
• Scott Road and Park Street throughout their lengths
• City Hall Road, College Road, Gorsedd Gardens Road, King Edward VII Avenue and Museum Avenue throughout their lengths (Access may be permitted at the discretion of Cardiff Council Traffic Management Staff)

Between the hours of 11.00am and 8.00pm on Saturday 28th March 2026 
• Kingsway from its junction with North Road to its junction with Duke Street
• Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Road to its junction with Westgate Street 
• Tudor Street from its junction with Clare Road to its junction with Wood Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment)
• Plantagenet Street and Beauchamp Street from their junctions with Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted) 
• Customhouse Street throughout its length (access to private car parks will be permitted)
• Penarth Road from its junction with Saunders Road to the entrance leading into the rear of the Central Train Station 
• Caroline Street, Castle Street, Central Square, Duke Street, Golate, Green Street, Guildhall Place, Havelock Street, High Street, Quay Street, Saunders Road, St Mary Street, Westgate Street, and Wood Street throughout their lengths
