Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through
Traffic Order 2026 – Paston Parkway Ref: 26-289

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Paston Parkway, as lies between junction 20 westbound off and on slips. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Paston Parkway J20 westbound off slip, Paston Parkway J20 roundabout, Paston Parkway westbound on slip. The proposed order will come into force on the 23/02/2026 and will continue until the cut & patch works have been completed or until the 22/02/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 20:00 on the 23/02/2026 to 06:00 on the 24/02/2026. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A15, A1175, A16, A47, A15 and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 23/02/2026 and will continue until the cut & patch works have been completed or until the 22/02/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 20:00 on the 23/02/2026 to 06:00 on the 24/02/2026. Traffic Order 2026 – Gladstone Street Ref: 26-293

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Gladstone Street, as lies between Cobden Street and a point approximately 40m south. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: 1) Cobden Avenue, Cromwell Road, Link Road. 2) Gladstone Street, Russell Street, Cromwell Road, Bright Street, Lincoln Road, Cobden Avenue, Cromwell Road, Hankey Street, Gladstone Street. The proposed order will come into force on the 02/03/2026 and will continue until the pole replacement works have been completed or until the 01/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 08:00 and 17:30 on the 02/03/2026. Vehicular access on to the course shall be prohibited at all the side roads joining the route whilst the route remains closed. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are via (1) Uffington Rd, Barnack Rd, A1175 Main Rd. (2) via Wittering Ford Rd, Heath Rd, Wittering Rd, Stamford Rd. The proposed Order will come into force on Sunday 1st March 2026 only from 07:30am to 11.30am and is at the request of DSTM Ltd for the purposes of the Burghley 7 Road Race 2026. The Council is satisfied that the length of road that is the subject of this Order is liable to be obstructed during the Burghley 7 Road Race 2026 Event between the above times only. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fletton Parkway, as lies between westbound off and on slips of junction 3. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: westbound J3 off slip, J3 roundabout, J3 westbound on slip. This notice is made in the interest of cut and patch works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 24/02/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
