Bournemouth - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions due to Gas Works

GLENDON AVENUE AND ASSOC. ROADS, BOURNEMOUTH - GAS WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

The following will be closed to all vehicles with no parking, no waiting at anytime and no loading/unloading at any time -

Glendon Avenue, from the junction with Horsham Avenue to the property boundary of No.2A Glendon Avenue – anticipated dates 23rd February until 6th March 2026

Russell Road, from the junction with Horsham Avenue to the property boundary of No.46 Russell Road – anticipated dates 16th March until 27th March 2026

Park Avenue, from the junction with Horsham Avenue to the property boundary of No.19 Park Avenue – anticipated dates 30th March until 10th April 2026

Millhams Road, from the property of Pelhams Clinic to the property boundary of No.17 Millhams Road – anticipated dates 6th April until 17th April 2026

Weymans Road, from the junction with Millhams Road to the property boundary of No.3 Weymans Avenue – anticipated dates 6th April until 17th April 2026

Home Road, from the junction with Wimborne Road (A341) to the property boundary of No.2 Home Road – anticipated dates 13th April until 24th April 2026

WHY: To facilitate gas mains replacement works by SGN

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
