Sydney Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Manhole Repair Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Sydney Road (8pm-6am), from its junction with Romsey Road, northwards for 20m.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to repair a manhole.
3. The alternative route will be Syndey Road, Anglesea Road, Romsey Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 5th March 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be completed by 6th March 2026.
