What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Combe Lane (Part), Bratton; from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Upper Garston Lane to enable Openreach to carry out gully sucking and associated works. Alternative route via Upper Garston Lane – The Butts – Westbury Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2026, and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from outside its property known as No.46 Pickwick Road for a distance of approximately 18m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 09 March 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. F) Kingsfield (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Wooley Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out clearance of duct blockages and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:30 and 06:30 for 1 night. This Order will come into operation on 17 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:30 and 06:30 for 1 night. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 3 days. K) Stormore (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its property known as No.09 Stormore to its property known as No.03 Stormore to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via Stormore (unaffected length) – Clewerland – B3099 – Stormore (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 15 December 2025 will now recommence on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Phase 2: B3105 (Part), Bradford on Avon and South Wraxall; from its junction with Leigh Road West to its property known as Wooley Barn Farm.
Phase 3: B3105 (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Road West to its junction with A363 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route light vehicles via B3105 (unaffected length) – B3109 – A363 and vice versa. Alternative route HGVs via A363 – A4 – A36 – B3107 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 08 March 2026, and the phases will run consecutively and the closure will be required weeknights between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 21 March 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (C20, WORTON AND MARKET LAVINGTON) (50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026 (Previously advertised as 2025)
Notice is hereby given that on 4 February 2026 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as follows:
a) To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A360, Potterne, Market Lavington and West Lavington) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2012 and re-enact it, in part, in the above order 2;
b) To revoke The County of Wiltshire (C20, Worton and Market Lavington) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2015 and re-enact it, in part, in the above order 3;
c) To introduce a 40mph speed limit on A360, Market Lavington – from a point 290 metres north of its junction with C20 Broadway to a point 180 metres south of that junction;
C20, Broadway, Market Lavington – from its junction with A360 for a distance of 160 metres in a south easterly direction;
C20, Cheverell Road, Market Lavington and Worton – from its junction with A360 for a distance of 350 metres in a north westerly direction.
A copy of the Orders can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 20 February 2026.
