TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 13th February 2026.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Hamtun Street (9.30am – 3.30pm), between its junction with Castle Way and Simnel Street.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to facilitate a crane.

3. The alternative route will be Town Quay, High Street, West Street, Castle Way, Lansdowne Hill.

4. The Order will come into force on 16th February 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be completed by 16th February 2026.
