What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

STATION ROAD, DESFORD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 18/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 nights to allow Severn Trent Water & their contractors to undertake repairs/replacement of a defective manhole frame & cover & other associated works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Leicester Ln, High St, Station Rd, Main St, Newbold Rd, Lindridge Ln, Merrylees Rd, Botcheston Rd & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 12/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow MBNL to undertake telecoms installation works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 09/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake water cut off works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Ratcliffe Rd, Main St, Broome Ln, Ratcliffe on the Wreake; Broome Ln, Melton Rd, Brook St, Brookside, Station Rd, Rearsby & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

CEDAR AVENUE, WIGSTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 19/02/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake manhole repair works.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake footpath patching works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Chapel Cl, St Catherines Wy, Forsells End & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 02/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Cadent to undertake new supply installation works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 27/02/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake deterioration patching works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.
