The Croydon (Speed Limit) (Consolidation) Order 2026.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, on 09 February 2026, made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The purpose of the Orders is to revoke and reintroduce without any change to substance the prohibitions, restrictions and designations of stopping, waiting, loading, parking, traffic movement and speed limits and all the provisions related thereto of THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON currently in place by virtue of existing Map-based Traffic Management Orders into new consolidated Map-based Traffic Management Orders, as named above. A list of the orders to be revoked and consolidated into the above Orders is shown in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on the 16 February 2026, and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be inspected between 10am and 6pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET. Alternatively, all related documents
or further information can be requested by email to Parkina.Desian@crovdon.aov.uk.
4. Any person wishing to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of the provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which each of the Orders was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BEULAH HILL. UPPER NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate foul water drainage connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood.
2. During the work Beulah Hill will be closed between its junctions with Hermitage Road and Woodfield Close.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted vehicles will be as detailed below.
- Church Road/Southbound - Via South Norwood Hill, Whitehorse Lane, Whitehorse Road, Windwill Road, St James Road, London Road, Streatham High Road, Streatham Common, North Crown Lane and Crown Dale.
- Crown Dale/Eastbound - Via Crown Dale, Crown Lane, Streatham Common North, Streatham High Road, London Road, St James Road, Windmill Road, White Horse Road, Whitehorse Lane, and South Norwood Hill.
- Crown Dale/Westbound - Via Crown Dale, Central Hill, Westow Street, and Church Road.
- South Norwood/Eastbound: Via Church Road, Westow Street, Central Hill and Crown Dale.
4. The Order will come into operation on 14 February 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 22 February 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BRIGHTON ROAD. SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, South Croydon.
2. During the work the cycle lane on the west side of Brighton Road will be closed between the common boundary of Nos. 108 and 110 Brighton Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 177 and 179 Brighton Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force cyclists will be required to use the main carriageway.
4. The Order will come into operation on 14 February 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 22 February 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
