ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(ZUC97 FROM UC190 BY MANOR FARM TO C107 EVERSHOLT, MILTON BRYAN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Zuc97 from UC190 by manor farm to C107 Eversholt, Milton Bryan between Meads Close to Track road to Park Rd.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 20 March 2026 between the hours of 9am and 1530pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B5704, C100, Tyrells End, Potters End and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BILLINGTON ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard between shell garage junction and George W Roberts motorists centre junction.

This temporary closure is required to enable pedestrian installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 27 March 2026 between the hours of 0800am and 1800pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Chartmoor Rd, Grovebury Rd, A4146 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(CEDARS WAY, LINSLADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Cedars Way, Linslade outside number 17.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 5 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Mentmore Rd, Finch Crescent and vice versa

The Order will come into operation on 3 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(PLANTATION ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD AND OLD LINSLADE ROAD, HEATH & REACH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard between Old Linslade Road and Heath Court and Old Linslade Road between Plantation Road and the river ouzel.

This temporary closure is required to enable tree removal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on Plantation Road 25 February 2026 and Old Linslade Road on 24 February between the hours of 0800 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Plantation Rd, West St, Stoke Rd, Old Linslade Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 24 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LEIGHTON BUZZARD: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 68)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Footpath No. 68, Leighton Buzzard which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9103 2494 to OS GR SP 9110 2495.

This temporary closure is required due to ongoing bridge works. The closure is expected to take place from 21 February 2026 for up to six months.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9103 2494 to OS GR SP 9104 2498 then continues to OS GR SP 9104 2498 then continues to OS GR SP 9104 2498 then continues to OS GR SP 9107 2497 then continues to OS GR SP 9107 2498 then continues to OS GR SP 9111 2497 then continues to OS GR SP 9110 2495. The alternative route is across a railway footbridge. The Order will come into operation on 21 February 2026 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
