TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 9, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 9, Sudbury from 272 metres north of the A134 for 328 metres northbound to facilitate drainage, culvert and surfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
There is no diversion route.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/02/2026 - 22/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Rectory Lane, Lowestoft Road, Pepys Avenue, Guildhall Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/02/2026 - 06/03/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
