Speed limit Restrictions, North Somerset

Consolidation Order 2024 (Variation No.10) Order 2026

Ref: SLTR/DB/2602

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council (Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include a 40mph and 20mph speed limit in Winscombe village. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice.

Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object to the proposal) you should make them in writing to David Bailey, Lead Engineer, Environment, Assets & Transport Services Directorate, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ or email: traffic.orders@n-somerset.gov.uk quoting reference SLTR/DB/2602 by 5pm on 6 March 2026. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made the order the effect of which:

High Street, Worle, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 16 February 2025

Ref: T25-67

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 16 February 2026, anticipated to be of 5 days.

Phase one - High Street, Worle: 16 February 2026 to 17 February 2026, 24 hour road closure.

Phase two - High Street, Worle: 18 February 2026 to 20 February 2026, road closure between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - High Street, Worle, Weston-super-Mare from the junction of Mendip Avenue to the junction with Station Road.

Alternative routes - Mendip Avenue, Station Road and vice-versa

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Footpath AX14/15/10, Churchill, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 9 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-229

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Vistry Homes for excavation for development works (subject to any planning consent). This order will become operative on the 9 February 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Footpath AX14/15/10 for full extent.

Alternative route - A38 footway southbound towards Jews Lane then AX14/17/10 Footpath, then eastbound on the AX14/9/10 Footpath which merges into the AX14/4/20 Footpath, northbound on AX14/8/10 Footpath towards Bath Road.

Crookes Lane, Kewstoke, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 23 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities for Laying a new service. This order will become operative on the 23 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Crookes Lane from junction with Southside Crescent to outside Kewstoke Village Hall, approximately 100m.

Footpath AX16/8/30, Congresbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 23 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-236

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Allison Homes for archaeology investigation and excavation for a proposed development subject to any planning consent. This order will become operative on the 23 February 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Footpath AX16/8/30 from 40m west of Park Road for its full extent to Footpath AX16/29/10.

Blackmoor, Langford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 23 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for cabling works. This order will become operative on the 23 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Blackmoor from Langford Road junction for approximately 380m northwards.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 24 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-247

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to repair a leaking air valve. This order will become operative on the 24 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
