To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Tower Road – from the junction with A21 Bohemia Road to the junction with U3153 Spring Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21 Bohemia Road – U3156 Chapel Park Road – U3151 St Peters Road – U3154 Tower Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 10 March 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

The Order commences 2 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 9 March 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Old Top Road – from the junction with A259 Rye Road to the junction with U3240 Middle Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via U3240 Middle Road – C92 Fairlight Road – A259 Old London Road, Rye Road and eastbound via A259 Rye Road, Old London Road – C92 Fairlight Road – U3240 Beacon Road, Crowborough Road, Brightling Avenue, Middle Road.
The Order commences 5 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 March 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6640 Fyrsway & U6185 Broadway,
Fairlight) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Fyrsway – for its full extent.
Diversion, for the section between U6638 Shepherds Way and U6640 Gorsethorn Way, via U6638 Shepherds Way – U6640 Commanders Walk, Gorsethorn Way and vice versa.
Broadway – from the junction with U6638 Waites Lane to the junction with P6756 Lower Waites Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 4 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 March and 24 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C295 Houghton Green Lane, Playden)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Houghton Green Lane – from the junction with U6414 Houghton Lane to the junction with A268 Rye Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C295 Houghton Green Lane – C296 Military Road – A268 Rye Hill, Rye Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 16 February 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 and 18 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Freezeland Lane – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with C345 Watermill Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Ninfield Road – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – C345 Watermill Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 13 February 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 16 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
All Saints Lane – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with C346 Turkey Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C346 Turkey Road – A269 Ninfield Road.
The Order commenced 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 20 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Jurys Gap Road – from the junction with C24 Lydd Road to the county border.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C24 Lydd Road, New Lydd Road, Camber Road – A259(T) Folkestone Road, Guldeford Lane, Rye Road, Brookland bypass, Lydd Road – B2075 Romney Road (KCC) – B2075 Station Road (KCC) – B2075 High Street (KCC) – C24 Jurys Gap Road (KCC) and vice versa.
The Order commenced 30 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 20 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
School Hill – from the junction with A265 High Street to the junction with U6199 Batemans Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C212 Kings Hill Road, Perrymans Lane, Observatory Road – C18 Brightling Road – B2096 Woods Corner, Battle Road, Carricks Hill, Earls Down, Battle Road, Cade Street, Battle Road – A265 Burwash Road, Heathfield Road, Paygate, High Street.
The Order commences 18 February 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 and 19 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Wartling Road – from the junction with A271 The Strait to the junction with U7112 Wood Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C17 Wartling Road, Wartling Hill, Wartling Road – A27(T) Pevensey Haven roundabout – A259(T) Marsh Road – B2095 Top Road, Hooe Road, Lower Street – A269 Bexhill Road, The Green, High Street, Standard Hill – A271 Boreham Hill, The Strait and vice versa.
The Order commenced 18 December 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 February 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
