SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)
NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers intend to make the above order because of essential gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic the date the order will come into force, and its maximum duration is set out below.
The effect of the order will be to prohibit traffic proceeding along the following lengths of road listed below:
Irby Road, Heswall
Between the junction of Richmond Way and Pensby Hall Lane.
All junctions adjoining the above roads will be temporarily closed when necessary.
The anticipated dates of the temporary closure will become operative between the 14th February and 15th March 2026.
This Order will become operative on the 14th February 2026, and will continue in force for 18 months, or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15th March 2026.

IN THE CLAUGHTON AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Grosvenor Road (Temporary Road Closure) Claughton Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Grosvenor Road, Claughton at its junction with Palm Grove for a distance of 220m in a westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Palm Grove, Egerton Road, Manor Hill.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 14 February 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 February 2026.

IN THE PENSBY AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Irby Road (Temporary Road Closure) Pensby Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Irby Road, Pensby from its junction with Richmond Way to its junction with Pensby Hall Lane to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Pensby Road, Fishers Lane.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 14 February 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 March 2026.

Magazine Brow (Temporary Road Closure) New Brighton Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Magazine Brow, New Brighton from its junction with Mariners Road in a southerly direction to and including the junction of Holland Road. Access for residents will be maintained for residents of Beach Grove to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Seabank Road, Holland Road, Orrell Road, Berkley Drive, Braeheaven Road.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 12 February 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 February 2026.
SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

IN THE MORETON AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Tintern Drive (Temporary Road Closure) Moreton Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Tintern Drive, Moreton from its junction with Upton Road for its full extent to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Resident access only.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 14 February 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 02 March 2026.
