Enfield, Multiple Temporary Road Closures & Restrictions Due To Essential Utility Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984– SECTION (14.1)
The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to
make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.
BULLS CROSS EN2
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: “Between 09:30hrs–15:30hrs on 23rd February 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.”
The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, southwards from its junction with Whitewebbs Lane, for approximately 130m.
FERNY HILL EN4
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: “Between 10:00–15:30 on 23rd February 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.”
The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, from its junction with Cockfosters Road, eastwards, for approximately 600m to Ferny Hill Farm.
TANNERS END LANE N18
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: “At Any Time” on 23rd February 2026 for 1 week or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road from a point 45 metres north of its junction with Dickens Lane, southwards for approximately 90m, on both sides of the road.
BAIRD ROAD, CROWN ROAD EN1
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times:
Baird Road
23 February 2026 between 23:00pm–05:00am, for 2 nights or until works are completed; and
Crown Road
6 March 2026 from 20:00hrs until 20:00hrs on 8th March or until works are completed
The general effect of the Order would be to;
Baird Road
• close this road, 90m from its junction with Crown Road, south westwards for approximately 100 metres; and
Crown Road
• Point of No Entry - a point of no entry into Crown Road from Southbury Road; and
• No Right Turn – from Crown Road into Southbury Road
EATON ROAD EN1
Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date and times: “At any time on 16th February 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.”
The general effect of the Order will be to close this road and suspend parking, west side, from its junction with Southbury Road, for approximately 30 metres.
The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by Traffic signs. Whilst roads are closed local diversions would be in place and access would be maintained only as far as the works allow for more information contact 0208 379 2039 or email NRSWA@enfield.gov.uk
