The Street, Basingstoke and Deane - Temporary Road Closure due to tree works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – THE STREET,
OLD BASING & LYCHPIT, BASINGSTOKE & DEANE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of The Street between its junction with Burtons Gardens and its junction with Church Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The Street, Basing Road, Swing Swang Lane, Great Binfields Road, Bartons Lane, Pyotts Hill.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Sunday 15th February 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 10:00-16:00).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Network Rail to complete tree works. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact NR@centuriontraffic.com
