ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(ENGLAND LANE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 37) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: England Lane, Knottingley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of England Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: England Lane, Weeland Road, Womersley Road, Spawd Bone Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th February 2026 at 22.30 hours to 17th February 2026 at 05.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(POPLAR AVENUE, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 38) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new water supply connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Poplar Avenue, Castleford at 22 Poplar Avenue. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Poplar Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Poplar Avenue, Crewe Road, Fryston Road, Holywell Lane, Sheepwalk Lane, Poplar Avenue & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th February 2026 at 08.00 hours to 20th February 2026 at 20.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 50) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Albion Street, Wood Street, Methley Road, Jin Whin Hill, Lumley Hill, Lumley Street, High Street & vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd March 2026 at 22.30 hours to 3rd March 2026 at 05.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carleton Glen, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carleton Glen.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th March 2026 to 5th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Denton Gardens, Ackworth. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Denton Gardens.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd March 2026 to 4th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Newstead Crescent, Fitzwilliam. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Newstead Crescent.
