KEELEY LANE, WOOTTON 25 - 124

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Keeley Lane, Wootton outside 109. This temporary road closure is required to exchange a meter and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 16:00 hours 25th February 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Wood End Road, Wood End Lane, Wootton Road, Bedford Road, Keeley Lane.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mill Road, Sharnbrook.

This temporary road closure is required to Install surface water drainage including connection into existing outfall, and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Biddenham Turn, Biddenham.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate replace approx. 1020m of 6” si with 125mm and any associated services and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Ampthill Road, Bedford from the junction of Elstow Road to the junction of West End.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate replacement of failed bridge deck joints, resurfacing of bridge deck and approaches, road markings and traffic sensors and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 05:00 hours from 13th March 2026 to 16th March 2026 and 22:00 - 05:00 hours from 20th March 2026 to 23rd March 2026

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL  PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

(BOLNHURST & KEYSOE: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 85)

On 15 January 2026 the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert:-

That length of Public Footpath numbered 85 in the Parish of Bolnhurst & Keysoe in the environs of “Hinton St Mary” commencing from a point approximately 8 metres south-east from the residential dwelling known as “Hinton St Mary” Bolnhurst & Keysoe at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) TL 0906/5826 then running in a generally northnorth-east direction for approximately 123 metres where it joins the unaffected part of Footpath 85 at OSGR TL 0909/5837 to a point commencing from where it has a junction with that part of the unaffected part of Footpath 85, Bolnhurst & Keysoe approximately 8 metres south-east from the residential dwelling known as “Hinton St Mary” Bolnhurst & Keysoe at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) TL 0906/5826 then running in a generally north-east direction for approximately 123 metres where it joins the unaffected part of Footpath 85 at OSGR TL 0909/5837.

The Order comes into force on 22 January 2026, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 12 February 2026  make an application to the High Court.
