TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

AYLMERTON – C301 Church Road from 103m north-east of its junction with U14278 The Street for 50m north-westwards to facilitate repair of a water communication pipe from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). BUXTON WITH LAMAS – C245 Mill Street from its junction with Coltishall Road for 520m north-eastwards to facilitate works for network infrastructure from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). COLBY AND BANNINGHAM – C298 Banningham Road from 110m west of its junction with U14495 Church Close for 120m westwards to facilitate removal of a vehicular entrance and reinstatement of a verge from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). ERPINGHAM – C293 Calthorpe Road from 135m west of its junction with U14246 School Road for 40m westwards to facilitate the replacement of an Anglian Water frame and cover from 17th to 19th February 2026 (may continue until the 2nd April 2026). FILBY – A1064 Main Road/The Heath from 60m northwest of its junction with C448 Market Lane for 120m south-eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 19th to 21st February 2026 (may continue until 4th April 2026). GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Trinity Avenue from its junction with Kings Road for 60m eastwards to facilitate the relaying of a lead water pipe from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Long Lane, Beccles Road, Crab Lane, Magdalen Way, Trinity Avenue (Bradwell). The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Middleton Road (northbound only) from its junction with the B1370 Roundabout to its junction with the A47 Roundabout (“Road A”) and various side roads of Middleton Road as follows: 1) Pound Lane, Connaught Avenue, Gloucester Avenue, Peter House Avenue, St Catherines Way and Western Road (the “Side Roads”) and, 2) Pound Lane, Connaught Avenue, Gloucester Avenue, Peterhouse Avenue, St Catherine’s Way and Western Road (the “Left Turn Restriction Roads”) and, 3) Middleton Gardens, Stradbroke Road, Suffield Road, Albemarle Road, Elm Avenue, Elm Grove Road and Poplar Avenue (the “Right Turn Restriction Roads”). The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and each of the Side Roads will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) from the side roads junction with Middleton Road for 20 metres westwards, the Left Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no left turn restriction from any of the listed Left Turn Restriction Roads onto Middleton Road and the Right Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no right turn restriction from any of the listed Right Turn Restriction Roads onto Middleton Road to facilitate cycle lane construction works. The restrictions will be in place from 18th February to 31st March 2026 (may continue until 30th September 2026). Nothing in this Order will prevent construction traffic relating to these works from turning right from Elm Avenue onto Middleton Road. HICKLING – U19048 Eastfield Road from 160m west of its junction with U19204 Suckling Lane for 50m westwards to facilitate water meter exchange works on the 17th February 2026 (may continue until 31st March 2026). Alternative route is via: Eastfield Road, The Street, Town Street, Suckling Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

HONING – C411 East Ruston Road from its junction with U19143 Crostwight Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate water mains fitting works from 17th to 19th February 2026 (may continue until 2nd April 2026). Alternative route is via: East Ruston Road, Hall Road, North Walsham Road, Happisburgh Road, North Walsham Road, B1159 Stalham Road, Pound Road, School Road, East Ruston Road (East Ruston, Witton, Honing, Walcott). HORNING – C401 Lower Street/School Road from its junction with U19907 Hillside Road to its junction with U19122 Church Road to facilitate duct and cab installation works from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). HORSTED WITH STANNINGHALL – C254 Hall Lane from its junction with B1150 North Walsham Road for 50m north westwards to facilitate replacement of a district meter from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). The Road A will be temporarily closed, traffic over the Road B shall be restricted from turning left onto B1354 Horning Road West and the Road C shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). LITTLE SNORING – Kettlestone Road from 130m southeast of its junction with Thursford Road for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate water works to install pipe works from 18th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026). MUNDESLEY – B1145 High Street from its junction with Beckmeadow Way to its junction with Northfield Road to facilitate laying of fibre duct works on behalf of Openreach from 16th to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2026).
