The Isle of Wight Council (Whitecross Lane, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of 6-foot 6-inch Width Restrictions) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times, for 5 days, between Friday 13 February 2026 and Friday 20 March 2026, or when the works has been completed, the 6-foot 6-inch width restriction will be revoked for Whitecross Lane, for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 13 February 2026 and Friday 20 March 2026 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one day to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, lining and investigation works, and any associated pre works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
