(BEDFORD ROAD, BROGBOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Brogborough between Sheeptick End Road and Salford Road A507.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Surface Dressing/ Surface Dressing/ Lining and Civils Works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 20 March 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Marston Bypass, Beacroft Rd, A421 and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(FLITWICK ROAD, STEPPINGLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Flitwick Road, Steppingley approx. 100m west of the Drovers Arms.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Steppingley Rd, A5120, Temple Way, Church Rd, Flitwick Rd and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CHURCH ROAD, ASPLEY HEATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Road, Aspley Heath outside number 74.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

(PARK LANE, BLUNHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Park Lane, Blunham outside number 28.

This temporary closure is required to enable remedial defect works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Park Lane, The Hill and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Woodside, Aspley Guise outside The Beeches.

This temporary closure is required to enable stoptap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 11 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Westhill, Duke Street, Woodside and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 9 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MARSTON ROAD, LIDLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Marston Road, Lidlington 20m either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable GPR surveys & vegetation management works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 27 March between the hours of 0900 and 1500. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Marston Road, The Lane, Church Street, Station Road, Sheep Tick End, Bedford Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road, Bedford Road, Station Road, Martson Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 9 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wavendon Road, Salford outside The Lion Hotel Plot 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable new connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 26 February 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via C76, Broughton Rd, Fen St, Countess Way, Newport Rd, Lower End Rd and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Westoning Road, Greenfield outside The Pony Paddocks.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 26 February 2026 between the hours of 0900 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Flitwick Rd, A5120, Kings Rd, Greenfield Rd and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Kiln Lane, Clophill outside Aragon House and outside Shepherds Cottage.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 25 February 2026 between the hours of 0900-1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Kiln Lane, Great Lane, High St, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Notice of Making of Public Path Order

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (ASPLEY GUISE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 21) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order made on 6 February 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise.

The length of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise to be stopped up extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9361 3578 in a generally south-south-easterly direction for approximately 44 metres through the garden of No. 116 West Hill to terminate at its junction with the roadway West Hill at OS GR SP 9363 3574.

The footpath is stopped up across its full width.

The length of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9361 3578 in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 51 metres along a dirt track to terminate at its junction with the roadway West Hill at OS GR SP 9364 3575.

The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Highway Assets Intelligence Team Leader, Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5QT or definitivemap@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk not later than 19 March 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Representations and objections must include either a postal or e-mail address. Any representations or objections made will be in the public domain and will be available for viewing/copying by members of the public.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Central Bedfordshire Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order and will be made publicly available by either the Council or the Planning Inspectorate.
