ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

TAUNTON LANE, COULSDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new foul water sewer connection on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Taunton Lane, Coulsdon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Taunton Lane will be closed between its junction with Waddington Avenue and the common boundary of No. 107 Waddington Avenue and No. 92 Taunton Lane.

3. During the closure, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Waddington Avenue, Homefield Road, Taunton Lane and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 23 February 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 06 March 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

VERULAM AVENUE & WOODCOTE PARK AVENUE & SIDE ROADS, PURLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Verulam Avenue and Woodcote Park Avenue, Purley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Woodcote Park Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Newton Road and Elton Road, including its junction with Verulam Avenue, from 19 February 2026 for approximately eight days.

b) Woodcote Park Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Elton Road and Smitham Bottom Lane from 26 February 2026 for approximately eight days.

c) Verulam Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Woodcote Park Avenue and Walburton Road, including its junction with Newton Road, from 05 March for approximately eight days.

d) Verulam Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Walburton Road and Hillcroft Avenue, including its junction with Walburton Road, from 12 March for approximately eight days.

3. During the works the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below. Access for residents will be maintained.

• Woodcote Park Avenue closure: via Woodcote Park Avenue, Smitham Bottom Lane, Hillcroft Avenue, Verulam Avenue and vice versa.

• Verulam Avenue closure: via Woodcote Park Avenue, Smitham Bottom Lane, Hillcroft Avenue, Verulam Avenue and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 19 February 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

WHITEHORSE LANE, SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR AND

PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sluice valve and hydrant works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular and pedestrian traffic movements in Whitehorse Lane, South Norwood.

2. During the said works, vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be banned from turning right into Whitehorse Lane from the vehicular entrance/exit to numbers 128 to 176 Whitehorse Lane.

3. Whilst the banned turn remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Whitehorse Lane, High Street Thornton Heath, Parchmore Road, Northwood Road, Beluah Hill, South Norwood Hill and Whitehorse Lane.

4. The Order will come into operation on 25 February 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 01 March 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
