What is happening?
Essex County Council
(First Avenue, Harlow) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily suspend the bus lane restriction on that length of First Avenue, Harlow in the District of Harlow from its junction with Maddox Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a south westerly direction as detailed in “The Essex County Council (First Avenue (Westbound), Harlow) (Bus Lane) (Part 1) Order 2008.”
The suspension is scheduled to commence on 2nd March 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2392547 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while LED upgrade on traffic signals works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
The Order will come into effect on 12th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Galleyhill Road, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Galleyhill Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Parklands for a distance of approximately 85m in a northerly direction.
To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
The Essex County Council (District of Epping Forest) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 9th March 2026 for 25 nights (19:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2396080 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage and junction works are undertaken by Essex County Council. No diversion route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 12th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Dale, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Dale, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 15m south east of its junction with Roundhills for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th March 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30086980593 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. No diversion route available.
The Order will come into effect on 12th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Albert Road, Buckhurst Way/Buckhurst Hill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Albert Road, Buckhurst Hill in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Elm Close to its junction with Cedar Close a distance of approximately 105m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2026 for 1 night – (19:00–23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (MU11300957592 – 00000002 – Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cover replacement works are undertaken by Thames Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Theydon Road, Theydon Bois in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 20m south west of its junction with Great Gregories Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction.
To temporarily suspend a 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Coppice Row Theydon Bois/Jacks Hill, Loughton/Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest from both of its junctions with the Wake Arms Roundabout to its junction with Piercing Hill as cited in “Epping Forest District (Coppice Row, Theydon Bois) (Experimental Weight Restriction) Order 1992” for the duration of the closure only.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30091224638 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while New connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Epping Forest, as detailed in 1 Schedule.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway as detailed in Schedule 1 and 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Epping District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only.
