What is happening?

Aveley Lane (D5313) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 6 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Aveley Lane (D5313) Farnham as extends from the eastern access for the property known as “Aveley House” to its junction with Acheulian Close (X11004).
Alternative Route – Edward Road, B3384 (Ridgway Road) and A287 (Frensham Road), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Morrison Telecom Services Ltd to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 February 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Old Barn Lane (D130) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 6 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Barn Lane (D130) Churt as extends from the access for the property known as “Woodhanger Cottage” to the access for the property known as “Avalon Cottage”.
Alternative route – Old Barn Lane, Green Lane, Green Cross Lane, Hale House Lane and Old Barn Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable SSEN to facilitate tree and vegetation clearance and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 February 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 2.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Crondall Lane (C120) Dippenhall
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 11 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crondall Lane (C120) Dippenhall as extends from its junction with (X84154) Lower Old Park southwestwards for a distance of 50 metres. Alternative Route – Crondall Lane; Dippenhall Street; Pankridge Street; Bowling Alley; A287 Farnham Road/Odhiam Road/Folly Hill/ Castle Hill/Castle Street/The Borough; West Street; and Crondall Lane. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 25 February 2026 is required to facilitate telegraph pole installation and/or replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.

D5514 Bunch Lane and D5527 Tennysons Lane, Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 11 February 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council D5514 Bunch Lane and D5527 Tennysons Lane, Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

1. the entire length of D5514 Bunch Lane, Haslemere. Alternative Route 1 –D134 St Christophers Green, B2131 Wey Hill, D5515 Weydown Road and D5516 Inval Hill; Alternative Route 2 – D5516 Inval Hill, D5515 Weydown Road, B2131 Wey Hill and D134 St Christophers Green;
2. that length of D5527 Tennysons Lane, Haslemere which extends from its junction with Blackdown Lane southeastwards to the boundary of the Borough of Waverley and West Sussex County Council.
Alternative Route – Tennysons Lane (West Sussex), Jays Lane (West Sussex), Jobsons Lane (West Sussex), Petworth Road (West Sussex), B2131 Petworth Road and D5527 Blackdown Lane.

Green Lane (D131) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Lane (D131) Churt as extends from its junction with (D131) Parkhurst Fields to its junction with Public Footpath No 511 Churt. Alternative Route – Green Lane; A287 Churt Road; Hale House Lane; Green Cross Lane; and Green Lane. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 02 March 2026 is required to facilitate blockage removal works and/or tree surgery works and/or cabling works and/or ducting works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Bunch Lane (D5514) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bunch Lane (D5514) Haslemere as extends from its junction with Stoatley Hollow (D5513) to the access for Great Stoatley Lodge.
Alternative route – B2131 (Wey Hill), Weydown Road and Inval Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate sluice valve box replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 March 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 23.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D5320 Old Farnham Lane, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5320 Old Farnham Lane, Farnham that extends from its junction with A287 Firgrove Hill, to its junction with C122 Great Austins. This Traffic Order is required to enable Morrison Telecom Services Limited/BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works outside No.11 and No.15 Old Farnham Lane. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Waverley Lane, Menin Way and Tilford Road.

B3007 Weybourne Road, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of B3007 Weybourne Road, Farnham which extends from its junction with A325 Hale Road northwards to the border between Waverley Borough Council and Hampshire County Council. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
