Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to tree cutting
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Lyndhurst Road between its junction with A35 and continuing to a point 1730 metres West on Lyndhurst Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lyndhurst Road, Chapel Lane, School Hill, Wilverley Road, Station Road, A35.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 23rd February 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 weeks and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).
