What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991
WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & CLEARWAY) (VARIOUS ROADS, WALSALL) ORDER FEBRUARY 2026

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding and stopping in that length of:

POOL HAYES LANE, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Broad Lane South to its junction with Lucknow Road (Monday 16 February 2026 to Monday 23 February 2026, 08:00 to 16:00).
STOCKTON CLOSE, WALSALL in its entirety (Thursday 26 February 2026 to Tuesday 3 March 2026, 19:00 to 06:00).

Reason for order: Carriageway resurfacing (no weekend works).
Works on behalf of: Walsall MBC (Maintenance).

This Order will come into operation on Monday 16 February 2026. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signs will be erected on site indicating when the no stopping restriction will be in force and signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
