What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401260 THRUPP LANE (BRIMSCOMBE & THRUPP PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401260 Thrupp Lane from 20 metres north of the wall to 20 metres south of the wall for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for retaining wall repair works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401445 FRIDAY STREET (MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401445 Friday Street from its junction with Tetbury Street to its junction with Bobcanns Road for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for maintenance works in the carriageway.

The reason for the said closure is for pole replacement works.

The reason for the said closure is for pipe renewal works.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401435 Orchard Lane, Brimscombe from its junction with Albert Road to outside of the property known as No.12 Orchard Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for infrastructure installation works by Citi utilities.

The said road is expected to be closed on 24th February 2026 only. However, if the said works have not completed on this date the Order may remain in force until the said works have been completed or up to eighteen months whichever is sooner.

The said road is expected to be closed from 24th February 2026 until 25th February 2026 only or until the said works have been completed.

CONFIRMATION NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER S26 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 / WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC FOOTPATH CONNECTING FESTIVAL ROAD AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH MST10 STONEHOUSE PARISH – CREATION ORDER 2025

On 15 January 2026, the Gloucestershire County Council confirmed the above-named Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding the following length of public footpath: A length of public footpath connecting Festival Road and Public Footpath MST10 in the parish of Stonehouse in the County of Gloucestershire that commences at its junction with highway number 42483 known as Festival Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference OSGR SO8027/0539 and extends in an east south easterly direction for approximately 45 metres to OSGR SO8031/0537 at its junction with Public Footpath MST10 and having a width of 1.5 metres at OSGR SO8027/0539 adjacent to the vehicle gate and then a width of 2 metres up to OSGR SO8031/0537.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG and Stroud District Council, Council Offices, Ebley Mill, Westward Road, Stroud, Glos., GL5 4UB. Copies of the Order and Order Map may be obtained free of charge by emailing modificationorders@gloucestershire.gov.uk (please quote reference 573/11/212(5)). The Order comes into force on 15 January 2026. If any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provisions contained in it, within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (HA1980), as amended, or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA1981) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the HA1980 as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA1981, within 6 weeks from 4 February 2026 make an application to the High Court.
