ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

GRANGE LANE, CUNDY CROSS - TEMPORARY ONE-WAY RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a one-way restriction on Grange Lane, Cundy Cross between Pontefract Road and Abbey Lane. Traffic will be able to travel in a northbound direction only from Abbey Lane towards Pontefract Road from 16 February 2026 for approximately 4 weeks, with further closures as required and intermittently for a further 3 months. Reason: Junction remodelling. An alternative route is available via: Pontefract Road / Harborough Hill Road / Alhambra Roundabout / Sheffield Road / Taylor Row / Doncaster Road / Stairfoot Roundabout. CHURCH LANE, UPPER TANKERSLEY - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Church Lane from the entrance to Tankersley Manor for a distance of 500 metres, from 16 February 2026 for approximately four days. Reason: Telegraph pole works. An alternative route is available via: A61 Westwood New Road/Westwood Roundabout/A61 Westwood New Road/Sheffield Road/Olympus Way/Tankersley Lane. CHAPEL STREET, HOYLAND COMMON - TEMPORARY ONE-WAY CLOSURE
An order will be made to introduce a temporary one-way closure on Chapel Street from side of No.71 to Elm Street, allowing traffic to travel towards Elm Street only, from 16th February 2026 for approximately 5 days. An order has been made to close the below streets: (1) Dovecliffe Road, Wombwell between Wood Walk and Wentworth Road (2) Pit Lane, Wombwell between Windmill Road and Dovecliffe Road (3) Wentworth Road, Blacker Hill between Dovecliffe Road and a point 600 metres south of the junction with Wombwell Lane (4) Wombwell Lane, Blacker Hill between Woodhead Lane and Wentworth Road (5) Woodhead Road, Blacker Hill between Wombwell Woods Roundabout and Wentworth Road. Roads closed from 9 February 2026 for approximately 5 days between 0700 and 1500 only. Roads will be closed on a phased basis. Reason: Vegetation trimming and litter clearance. BERRY LANE, HOWBROOK, BANK LANE/SHEFFIELD ROAD, WORTLEY - TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
An order will be made to introduce the below restrictions, from 18 February 2026 for approximately three days. (1) Berry Lane; road closure for a distance of 100 metres from the junction with Sheffield Road. Alternative route, Howbrook Lane/Sheffield Road. (2) Bank Lane; road closure from Sheffield Road to Woodhead Road. Alternative route, Woodhead Road/A629 Leave Way/Sheffield Road. (3) Sheffield Road; temporary speed restriction for a distance of 200 metres either side of the junction of Berry Lane.
