Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

Brandon Street, Gravesend, DA12 9SW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of SOUTHERN WATER SERVICES LIMITED works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brandon Street, Gravesend, on or after 23rd February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 26A.

The alternative route is via Brandon Street, Darnley Street, Darnley Road, Arthur Street, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.



Buckland Road, Luddesdown, DA13 0XF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a stop tap replacement, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Road, Luddesdown, on or after 23rd February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Monks Vineyard.

The alternative route is via Buckland Road, Lockyers Hill, Leywood Road, Strawberry Hill, Dean Road, Luddesdown Road and vice versa.



Cross Lane East, Gravesend, DA12 5AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cross Lane East, Gravesend, on or after 14th February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 28.

The alternative route is via Cross Lane East, B261 Echo Square/Old Road East, Singlewell Road and vice versa.



East Terrace, Gravesend, DA12 2AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Terrace, Gravesend, on or after 9th February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 30 and 32.

The alternative route is via East Terrace, Milton Place, The Terrace and vice versa.



Newlands Lane & Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, DA13 0RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of tree cutting to keep branches away from power lines, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Newlands Lane and Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, on or after 25th February 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed. The One Way on Whitepost Lane will be suspended to allow access.

The roads will be closed between Avoca and Beechwood Drive.

Newlands Lane diversion: Newlands Lane, A227 Wrotham Road, Whitepost Lane and vice versa.

Whitepost Lane diversion: Whitepost Lane, Harvel Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.



Norwood Lane, Meopham, DA13 0YF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of SOUTHERN WATER SERVICES LIMITED works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Norwood Lane, Meopham, on or after 23rd February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Waywood.

The alternative route is via Norwood Lane, Green Lane, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
