Bank Street access road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BANK STREET ACCESS ROAD, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 24 February to 25 February 2026 (08:00 to 16:00 each day).
WHERE: Bank Street access road, Chesterfield between its Jcts. with A619 Wheatbridge Road and A619 Chatsworth Road.
REASON: To facilitate telegraph pole renewal works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A619 Chatsworth Road (westbound) to Walton Road Interchange, A619 Chatsworth Road (eastbound) to access Bank Street. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
