What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CHURCH ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Church Road at its junction with Stafford Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 16 February 2026 until 22 February 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00.
The diversion route is: Three Tuns Lane, Stafford Road, Oxley Moor Road, Stafford Road.
The Order is required to facilitate Hydrant Works on Stafford Road by Severn Trent Water.
