NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, FYLDE, FYLDE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION OF RESTRICTED ROADS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 22 01 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2) and 83(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the following:
1) The "Lancashire County Council (Bryning Lane / Church Road, Warton, Fylde Borough) (Part Revocation and Restricted Road 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2013" in full.
2) "The County Council of Lancashire (Restricted Roads) (No.1) Order 1976" in full.
3) "The Lancashire County Council (Blackpool Old Road and Cartford Lane, Little Eccleston with Larbreck, Out Rawcliffe and Great Eccleston, Fylde and Wyre Boroughs) (Restricted Roads) Order 1994" in full.
4) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads in Roseacre, Treales and Wharles, Fylde Borough) (Restricted Roads and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2003" insofar as it relates to Schedule 1.
5) The "Lancashire County Council (Kirkham and Wesham Area, Kirkham and Wesham (Various Roads), Fylde Borough) (Revocation, 20mph and 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to Article 3.
6) The "Lancashire County Council (Staining Area, Staining (Various Roads, Fylde Borough) (Revocation, 20mph and 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2012" insofar as it relates to Article 3.
7) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Various Locations, Fylde Borough, Lancaster City and Wyre Borough) (Revocation, Restricted Road, 30, 40 and 50mph Speed Limits) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to Item bb) of Schedule 3.
8) The "Lancashire County Council (Cabus Nook Lane, Garstang Road, Gubberford Lane, Head Dyke Lane, Kirkham Road, Lancaster Road, Lytham Road, Moss Side Lane, Saltcoates Road, Station Lane, St Michael's Road, Various Locations, Wyre and Fylde Boroughs) (Revocation and Introduction of Restricted Road Status, 20mph, 30mph and 40mph Speed Limits) Order 2017" insofar as it relates to Item d) of Schedule 2.
9) The "Lancashire County Council) (Wrea Green Area, Ribby-with-Wrea (Various Roads), Fylde Borough) (Revocation, Part Revocation, 20mph, 30mph and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2012" insofar as it relates to Article 4.
10) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.3) Order 1972" insofar as it relates to Church Road in the Schedule.
11) The "Fylde Borough Amendment Order 2005" insofar as it relates to a 30mph Speed Restriction (restricted road) on Kirkham Road, Weeton, from the centre line of Singleton Road for a distance of 240 metres in an easterly direction.
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.

This Order will come into force on the 09 February 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
