NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MAINS LANE, SINGLETON, FYLDE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF DRIVING EXCEPT CYCLES AND ACCESS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 28 January 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke "The Lancashire County Council (Service Road Little Singleton Fylde Borough) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 1991" in full.
2. Introduce a prohibition of driving except cycles and access in Mains Lane (U47736), Singleton, for the entire length.
NB in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, the council is satisfied that for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which the order relates or any other road, and for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, it is requisite that the provisions of Section 3(1) of the Act should not apply to the restriction herein.

This Order will come into force on the 09 February 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
