PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(COMPTON PARK) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting cyclists from proceeding on Compton Park Cycle Lane in both directions at the side of Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy. Cyclists to dismount and use the footway.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 16th February 2026 until 18th February 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate works to upgrade the existing telecoms network by Hutchinson 3G Ltd.
