Peartree Avenue, Southampton – Temporary Road Closure due to Electric Connection Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Peartree Avenue from its junction with Angel Crescent to its junction with Little Lances Hill.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for a new electric connection.
3. The alternative routes will be Bitterne Road, Bitterne Road West and Athelstan Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 16th February 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 20th February 2026.
